At Sight Support Ryedale, we understand that navigating the digital world can be daunting for people living with sight loss. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our NEW DIGITAL INCLUSION PROJECT - designed to give our members the skills, confidence and independence to use online technology in everyday life.
We start with the basics and build up to practical, everyday digital skills. We’ll also help you make the most of the accessible technology already on your devices, ensuring your phone or computer is set up to meet your needs.

Members will learn how to:
Turn on and set up mobile phones and tablets
Connect to Wi-Fi safely
Download and use apps such as NHS and Gov.UK
Download and use accessibility apps
Stay connected with family and friends

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY  Become a Digital Inclusion Champion.

Our team at Sight Support Ryedale is small and to make this project a success we’re looking for some friendly volunteers to join us.

We’d love some enthusiastic people to step up as Digital Inclusion Champions, giving just two hours a week of their time. Don’t worry if you’re not a tech expert - you’ll complete training through Digital Unite to get you ready.

As a Digital Inclusion Champion, you’ll be helping our members with everyday digital skills like:
Using tablets, iPads and phones
Navigating websites
Setting up accessibility features that make life easier

Our goal is to support our members to feel more confident and connected in the digital world.

Whether you’re keen to learn new skills yourself or simply want to help others get online, we’d love to hear from you.
Please email us at digitalenquiry@sightsupportryedale.org or call 01653 698 860 to find out more and get involved.
