Raising Awareness of Sight Loss in Ryedale: What a day!
We had such an amazing time at our National Eye Health Week event on Monday 21 September. It was wonderful to see so many people dropping in, catching up, making connections and, of course, having plenty of laughs along the way.

There was lots going on throughout the day, from advice and support to technology demonstrations, conversations and plenty of delicious food from Thomas the bakers!

Our Gardening Group’s plants were a huge hit, while the beautiful arts and crafts made by our Thursday group were very much admired and loved. A special thank you to Maggie for all her hard work helping to make them.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all our stallholders and partners who joined us:

Community First Yorkshire
Fiercely Empowered
Guide Dogs
North Yorkshire County Council Sensory Team
RNIB
Robinsons Opticians
Sight Loss Councils...

It was so lovely to catch up with everyone and we really appreciate you taking the time to come along and support our event.

A special thank you to Humanware for loaning us the Hark AI. It proved incredibly popular, with demonstrations taking place throughout the event and lots of interest from our visitors.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Same time next year?
