Community generosity has once again made a meaningful difference for people in Ryedale living with sight loss.
We would like to say thank you to Malton and Norton Musical Theatre for their generous £600 gift to our charity. The funds were raised during the group’s Christmas pantomime at the Milton Rooms, where audience members showed their support by contributing to collection tins throughout the performances.
A fantastic £1,200 was raised in total, with the proceeds shared between Sight Support Ryedale and Next Steps – another local charity supporting people with mental health and wellbeing needs.
Victoria Dean, Chief Officer at Sight Support Ryedale, said:
“Support like this makes a real difference to our work. Without donations such as this, we simply wouldn’t be able to deliver many of the activities our members enjoy. This donation will go towards our summer excursions, something all our members enjoy and benefit from.”
As a small, local charity, we rely heavily on the support of community groups, businesses and individuals. Donations like this help us continue delivering vital services and social activities that reduce isolation and improve wellbeing for people across Ryedale living with sight loss.
The £600 donation will go towards funding our summer trips and excursions, ensuring our members can enjoy days out, build friendships, stay active and connected within their community.
Every donation, big or small, helps people living with sight loss in Ryedale live more independently and enjoy a better quality of life.
